SUMMER IN CORTINA D’AMPEZZO
Summer vacation in the heart of the Dolomites
Nestled in a sunny, expansive valley, Queen Cortina is crowned by majestic Dolomite peaks. The sophisticated vacation resort looks back on a centuries-old tradition of hospitality and sport.
Italy’s first Olympic Games were held here in 1956, and Cortina will host the Olympics again in 2026 together with Milan. Top ski events, 120 kilometers of slopes, culinary delights and the Hollywood-worthy backdrop of the UNESCO World Heritage Site make not only VIP hearts beat faster.
An overwhelming nature with picturesque color effects and a poetic atmosphere that will leave you in awe and amazement.
The Dolomites owe their name to Déodat de Dolomieu, who determined the particular mineralogical composition of these rocks in the second half of the eighteenth century.
HIKING AND TREKKING
Walking is the best way to get in close contact with nature, to experience it with all your senses, to feel its relaxing and revitalizing effect on the body. The rifugios can be a place to stop for refreshments during an excursion or serve as a base for hikes lasting several days. Hikes on shady paths on flat terrain are particularly restful and relaxing and are also ideal for a family vacation.
